Peacefully entered into rest at his home, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Wayne Miller of Picton, died at the age of 79. Loving father of Aaron (Dominique Jones) of Picton, doting Boppa Wayne of Cameron and Myles. Remembered by Aaron’s mother, Julie Miller (nee Steers) and her partner Deb Hedges of Picton. Survived by his brother Larry (Anne) of Richmond Hill and their family: Michael, Steven (Janelle) and Tammy (Warren) as well as many great nieces and nephews. Remembered by his daughter-in-law’s family, Cindy and Allan Jones. Wayne was deeply proud of his years with the Ministry of Natural Resources in Glenora, where he dedicated himself to his work and the stewardship of Ontario’s natural landscapes. In his personal life, he found great joy outdoors, especially tending to his gardens and spending time in nature. The family wish to send a very heartfelt thank you to all the medical professionals, specifically Dr. Sarah LeBlanc and Nurse Practitioner Brad Gunn, for their care and compassion of Wayne in his final days. Wayne’s life was defined by his unwavering kindness and generosity, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at the Prince Edward Yacht Club, 30 Fairfield Street, Picton, on Sunday, April 12th, 2026 from 11:00-2:00, with a Time of Sharing & Memories at 12:00 noon. Private Interment in the family plot at Orono Cemetery at a later date.
