Some time in future, possibly in November, there will appear on televsion screens a program featuring the music of Percy Faith and his orchestra.

As a setting to this music, there will be a background which will be familiar to Prince Edward County people, for it was filmed, in color, last Thursday at the Sandbanks by a C.B.C. crew of camera-men.

The crew of eight included Norman Campbell, producer of the film and Miss Martine van-Hamel, ballerina.

Miss van Hamel is the daughter of the Dutch consul in Ottawa. She recently came first in international ballet competitions in Varna, Bulgaria, in the under 21 classification.

Miss vanHamel appears in this film dancing on sand dunes to the music of Percy Faith. The selection used is a never-before published song of Mr. Faith’s called Celia’s Waltz. The setting on the dunes and near the water was most dramatic in Thursday afternoon’s moody light, storm clouds over Lake Ontario provided a good background for the filming.

Norman Campbell, who is a well known producer with C.B.C., was very pleased with the setting at the Sandbanks and feels that the day’s shooting was a success. Mr. Campbell was familiar with the area and the Sandbanks in particular for he has stayed at Bay Haven Resort near there. Mr. Wm. West, the operator of the resort and president of Bay of Quinte Regional Tourist Council, played host to the film crew during its short stay in the county.

Most of the others in the crew, choreographer, costume and make up girls and director were most impressed with the location, had never seen it before and thought that they would like to return for a holiday here.
