Surrounded by her loving family, Marguerite passed away peacefully at home in Stirling, ON on October 29th at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Daniel Brady and the late William Greer. Dear mother of Robert (Paulette), Janine (Jim), John (Kelly) and Paul (Sandi). Stepmother to Sharon (Doug), Lorin and Aaron. Loving grand-mother to Danielle, Elise, Philip, Jennifer, Alexandra, Michael, Brady and Riley and Great Grandmother to Beckett and Brooks. Dear sister of the late Frank Dyer and the late Shirley Slaven.Daughter of Rose and Ross Dyer, Marguerite grew up on East Lake and played shortstop for the McFarland Maids in Picton. She excelled in math and became a bookkeeper working forLipson’s Dry Goods, Greer’s Canning Co., Wellington Building Supplies and Greer’s Propane.She was the president of the Wellington Figure Skating Club where she spent countless hoursfundraising and negotiating for more ice time for the figure skaters! She had a flair for fashion and was an excellent seamstress and designer. She enjoyed dancing, boating and spending time with family and friends. Marguerite will be fondly remembered by her many friends and relatives for her love of life and kind heart.Special thanks to Dr. Lionel Noronha for the excellent care given to Marguerite over the course of her illness. Due to Covid -19 current gathering restrictions, attendance will be limited at the visitation and the graveside service. Visitation will be held at the Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington on Thursday November 5th, from 1:30 – 4:00, 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Graveside Service will be held at the Wellington Cemetery, 104 Consecon St. Wellington on Friday, November 6th at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wellington United Church or the PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation Building Fund.
