Picton’s Angry Birds restaurant owner Michael Hymus and business partner Debra Jeanes are major community supporters and are at it again, this time for the support of Ukraine.
Earlier this month, Angry Birds approached their food suppliers and received enthusiastic support in the form of greatly reduced food supply costs so the restaurant can generously support the people of Ukraine.
For one week commencing Monday, March 14, Jeanes and Hymus will be giving 100 per cent of all Angry Bird sales including taxes, to the Picton Rotary Club who will then disperse the funds to help support Ukrainian refugees during the current humanitarian crisis.
“This is a great opportunity to support Ukrainians in one of their darkest hours and credit goes to Micheal and the team at Angry Birds once again for being so thoughtful,” Picton Rotarian Bob Bird said. “When there’s a local need, Micheal is there and now, with an international humanitarian crisis, he’s stepping up once again and the Rotary Club is honoured to play its part in all this.”
This money will be used for two initiatives:
Hymus and the Rotary Club of Picton encourage you to join in by donating on-line using the address [email protected]. In the subject line please note ‘Ukraine support’.
