The day after Remembrance Day at Benson Hall is always scattered and busy.
This past Friday was no exception as volunteers from the children’s charity that aims to make the Christmas season a little brighter for County kids was already in full swing. Scores of paper angels were already adorning a Christmas tree as Sue Rose and her team were preparing for 2021 campaign that is sure to be one for the record books.
This coming weekend will see the Angel Tree campaign get a boost from the Picton Firefighters Association as the local first responders will be at Canadian Tire from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. collecting new, unwrapped toys.
If you miss a chance to visit the store Saturday, toys for the Angel Tree program can be dropped off at Station One until the end of November.
The Program is administered by the Children’s Foundation, a group that operates at arm’s length from Highland Shores Children’s Aid.
