The jolly man in red will be making a pair of visits to Prince Edward County this weekend as the village of Bloomfield and the Town of Picton will host their annual Christmas parades.
On Friday evening, the village will be the place to be as Bloomfield’s annual holiday parade starts at 6:30 p.m. The village of Bloomfield sparkles like a magical fairyland. Main Street closes at 6 p.m. and all of the holiday lights are turned on at once. Food vendors will be on Main Street, and you can enjoy chili and hot chocolate at the Town Hall at 4 p.m.
On Sunday, Picton will be the destination of the young and the young at heart as the parade commences at 1 p.m. Music, clowns, marching bands, and the fun of a big parade will be the highlights. The route is along Main Street from McFarland Drive to Talbot Street.
Next week, there will be no parade in Wellington however the village is hosting a Who-Ville Christmas in the Village which starts Dec. 3 at 10:30 a.m. and includes kids crafts, photos with Santa and more. There will be a bonfire in the park starting at dusk.
