The Gazette's Fall series features screenings and readings about the Newspaper Film genre

Following last year’s run of film screenings and book discussions, the Gazette is pleased to announce that passes for its new series, “Newspapers on Film,” are available online or at the Gazette office.

Featuring a series of personal and political histories:

October: Film: Steven Spielberg, The Post (2017); Book: Katherine Graham, Personal History (1998) — won the Pulitzer Prize
Screening: Monday 21 October/ Discussion Wednesday 30 October

November: Film: Alan Pakula, All the President’s Men (1976); Book: Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, All the President’s Men (1974)
Screening: Monday 11 November/ Discussion Wednesday 27 November

December: Orson Welles, Citizen Kane (1940); Book: Laura Mulvey, Citizen Kane, BFI Film Classics.
Screening: Monday 9 December/ Discussion Wednesday 18 December 

Monday screenings will take place at the Pilot’s Lounge at Base31 at 7:00pm. Wednesday Book Discussions will take place at the Gazette office (100 Main St.) at 7:30pm with food and wine.
