Rumblings of a shake up at the top of the fire service have been confirmed.
“Chad Brown is no longer an employee of the County of Prince Edward,” Interim CAO Adam Goheen told the Gazette. “We thank Mr. Brown for his service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
“To ensure continuity of service as we undertake the recruitment of a new fire chief, Deputy Fire Chief Tim Kraemer will assume the role of Interim Fire Chief,” Mr. Goheen added.
Mr. Brown came aboard as Chief on December 6, 2021. Previously, he was fire chief for Mississippi Mills in Lanark County, and was a deputy chief with Peterborough Fire Services.
The County will start looking for a replacement immediately.
