Felicity Diane Briggs
Unexpectedly, Felicity died in Don’s arms at their home on Sheba’s Island on September 9, 2018. Married for 33 years, Felicity and Don Mayne shared a joyous journey of life that took them to Toronto, Ottawa and The County. She will be greatly missed by her sister Fiona, brother-in-law Bernie and their children Myles and Kaitlin. Felicity was predeceased by her brother, Andy Briggs. Felicity shared her love of family and friends through her passion for cooking. Each meal together was full of lively conversation and delicious food. Never did you leave the table uninspired or hungry! Felicity loved and thrived practising as a labour relations mediator and arbitrator. Her ability to bring parties together made her well regarded in her field. A celebration of her County life will be held in the MacDonald Hall, Isaiah Tubbs Resort, Prince Edward County on Sunday, September 23rd from 1 – 3 pm with remembrances being shared at 2 pm. We will choose to celebrate her living rather than mourn her passing. In keeping with the relaxed way of life in The County, please come casually dressed with a smile in your heart. A Toronto celebration will be held at a later date (announcement to follow in the Globe and Mail). Felicity’s involvement with Casey House www.caseyhouse.com and World Vision Canada donate.worldvision.ca would make them excellent choices for a donation in her memory.
