Through its civic recognition program, the County of Prince Edward recognized Picton Armwrestling Club members (From left) Troy Eaton, Mike MacInally and Jack McAlpine for their achievements at the Canadian Armwrestling Championships in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on Canada Day 2023. Each PAWC member struck gold at the championship event in various age and weight classes while Mr. Eaton was also inducted into the Canadian Armwrestling Hall of Fame. The trio were honoured at the Feb. 27 Council meeting and offered tips to Mayor Steve Ferguson and Councillor Phil St. Jean who were clearly grappling over a contentious issue at the horseshoe.
