BRUSSE, Hendrik Alexander “Lex”

Entered into rest at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton on Thursday, May 25, 2023, Lex Brusse of Picton died at the age of 86.  He was the son of the late Hendrik & Julianna Brusse (nee Schram) and husband of Jeanette McCaw (nee Cluting) and predeceased by his first wife Helen Brusse (nee Merkley).  Lex was the loving father of Tanya Brusse-Gendre (John Gendre) of Calgary and Shari Brusse (Andrew Park) of Ottawa and step father of Debbie McCartney of Picton and adored Opa of Cameron and Syrina, and Candace and Sean, and great Opa of Alaura and Jackson.  He is survived by his brother Rolf Brusse (Judy) of Oakville and remembered by his nieces Catherine and Kimberly and his uncles Peter Brusse of Bussem and Mark Brusse of Paris, France.  Mr. Brusse rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450).  Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Lex’s Life will be held at the Prince Edward Yacht Club, 30 Fairfield Street, Picton on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 1-4 p.m.  Graveside Service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery, Ottawa on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2 p.m.  If desired, donations to Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation “Back the Build” would be appreciated by Lex’s family.
