Zachary Larrivee, 20 and Gavin Lafrance, 19, both from Embrun, Ontario, have been charged in last week’s stabbing at the Circle K.
Charges include unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose, and obstruction of justice. Mr. Larrivee has also been charged with attempted murder.
The pair allegedly attacked a Prince Edward County man in the parking lot of a Paul Street convenience store Friday night. The victim, a 35-year-old male, sustained serious stab wounds and is in intensive care at the Kingston General Hospital.
The men were arrested shortly after the incident with assistance from the Tyendinaga Police Service. During the investigation officers recovered multiple weapons.
Both of the accused remained in custody and scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville for a bail hearing this week.
Investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by members of the Prince Edward County OPP, the Prince Edward County Crime Unit, and the OPP Forensic Identification Services.
