Richard Thomas Clarke arrived February 3, 1955 in Toronto, to John and Jean Clarke (Haliburton) He passed away quietly with much love on June 16, 2019 surrounded by dear friends and family in Picton, Ontario. Ric made a home for 25 years in “The County” and built a reputation for honesty, integrity and a tireless work ethic through his general contracting business – Level N Square. He became known as the “go to guy” for barn restoration with his signature 1964 ladder truck. Ric will leave a lasting impression on his sons and favourite buddies- Lucas and Ben- who lit up his life every way. He loved coaching soccer, sharing travels and adventures, and blasting joyful music. Their dad has left a legacy of enduring love – and many of lifes’ lessons – to support them through the challenges ahead. Ric was number four in an eight-member family – Philip, Suasan, Lynda, James, Patricia, Paul and Timothy – who will always remember the kid who came in last from the playground, built the best snow forts, grew a love of construction at his fathers’ side while building the treasured log house. He loved to run, ski, ride his motorcycles, MGB’s and Model T’s, always with a great zest for the adventures of life and a constantly optimistic outlook. Many thanks to those friends who supported Ric through this terribly difficult year. He was filled with wonder and gratitude for the love that was returned to him. A celebration of Ric’s life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bloomfield on Monday, June 24th 1:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice Prince Edward.
