“These past two pandemic seasons have taught us the importance of being nimble and able to roll with the punches,” says Comedy Country producer Paul Snepsts. “When all your plans go out the window, there’s only one thing left to do… improvise!”
That approach has proven successful as Comedy Country was the winner of three Ontario Tourism Resiliency Awards in 2021.
COMEDY COUNTRY is a special project of The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to promoting and supporting Canadian comedic talent. Paul and Julianne Snepsts founded The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival in 2005, and in 2015 launched Comedy Country in Prince Edward County where they live with their two boys.
Series funders and partners include: The Government of Canada, The County Cider Company, The Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, Bay of Quinte Marketing Board, The Vic Drive-in, Rosehall Run Winery, ERBN Green Cannabis Co., The Ye11ow Studio, 555 Brewing Company, Cabin Fever Kayak, Black River Cottages, 99.3 County FM, Books & Company, The Acoustic Grill, Carson’s Garden + Market, Beacon Bike + Brew, Lemonade Dave, Vicki’s Veggies, The Regent Theatre, Stirling Festival Theatre
