It was ‘Canada Day, up Canada way, on the first day of July’. With all reverence due to Canadian Cowboy Crooner Stompin’ Tom Connors, Prince Edward County put on a two-day patriotic party in honour of the country’s 159 birthday.
Both the Wellington and Picton Recreation Committees offered Canada Day celebrations complete with a fireworks show, parade, street festival, community markets, children’s games, live music and food.
Below are some of the images from 2026 Canada Day celebrations in both Picton and Wellington captured by Gazette editor Jason Parks.
