Veronika (Vera) Eva Vera Duncan
Vera was born in Budapest, Hungary on May 5, 1924, to loving parents Margit (Pollak) and Kalman Nadas. Vera passed away peacefully at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in her 98th year. As per her request there will be no service. Vera will always be loved and missed by her husband Gordon, her nieces Cathy and Margaret and nephews Ian and Tony, as well as her caregiver Lynda. Vera moved to Canada and attended McGill University. Upon graduation Vera moved to Toronto where she gained status in her job as a Social Services Program Director. She travelled extensively the world over, documenting every trip with pictures and short stories of her adventures. Her love of the performing arts brought her joy with every concert and play she attended. She often brought friends and family with her to make the experience more enjoyable. When she retired, Vera and Gordon left the city and settled in Prince Edward County. Where she loved to take art classes, write, garden and enjoy the outdoors. She loved to adopt cats over the years, with Charlie being by her side as her constant companion. The family would like to thank the staff at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital for all of their care during Vera’s stay.
