Bloomfield’s Emmanuel Baptist Church will be putting on a dramatic multi-media presentation of the Easter Story, including dozens of actors, great music, video and professional stage lighting this weekend.
The production begins with Jesus and His disciples going to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus is arrested. He is then tried before the Jewish religious leaders and the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate, and watch as Peter denies that he even knew Jesus.
Jesus is beaten and forced to carry His cross through the streets of Jerusalem, and then crucified, while His mother, Mary, is distraught at what they are doing to Him. But that is not the end, because Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, bringing salvation to all who believe and put their trust in Him.
The Story of Easter will be performed on Good Friday (April 7th) at 7 p.m. and Easter Sunday (April 9th) at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 240 Main Street, Bloomfield.
If you have questions you can call the church at 613-393-2234 or visit their website at

The Church will also have a traditional Easter Service on Easter Sunday at 9 a.m.
