Prince Edward County Fire & Rescue responded to a fully involved house fire at a two-storey home in the Fenwood Gardens area at 10:13 p.m. Thursday evening.
County Spokesperson Mark Kerr confirmed there was one occupant inside the home at the time the fire began but the person was able to escape safely. There were no injuries.

The house was completely destroyed and damages have yet to be assessed.
The fire was extinguished by 2 in the morning. Crews maintained security at the site and inspectors were back on scene Friday morning in an attempt to determine the fire’s origin.
A neighbouring home was briefly evacuated for about two hours over concerns the blaze was getting too close. The family was able to return early Friday morning.
