Friendship United prepares for ‘Shipwrecked’ Vacation Bible School

<p>Volunteers at Friendship United Church in Demorestville are gearing up for their annual free Vacation Bible School, July 16-20. With this year’s “Shipwrecked” theme, kids aged 5-12 discover that Jesus rescues them. They’ll take part in Bible-learning activities, catchy songs, teamwork-building games, treats, and other adventures. They can collect Bible Memory Buddies and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos to take home. Each day concludes with a Sail Away Sendoff that gets everyone involved in living the day’s lessons. Family members and friends can join in this time daily. The school runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day. To register, contact Blanch at 613-476-7872 or e-mail her at cidsmom@hotmail.com.
