Peacefully entered into rest at his home, with his family at his side, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, Doug Gannon of Trenton, formerly of Picton, died at the age of 83. He was the son of the late John & Edith Gannon (nee Tuttle) and was the husband for 58 years of Anita (nee Cucinati). Doug was the loving father of Edward (Teresa) of Trenton, Grant (Valerie) of Madoc, and Danita of Trenton. He was the dearest grandfather of Melissa (Len), the late Jacob, Kaitlin, Noah, Eric, Cooper and great grandfather of Connor. Doug is survived by his siblings George (late Sally) of Vancouver, John (Sharon), Gord, all of Picton and his sisters-in-law Laura of Abbotsford, BC, and Cathy of Picton. He is predeceased by his sister Patricia Rheault, and his brothers Wayne, & Wally. Doug will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Gannon rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service and Rite of Committal with Prayers will be held at Cherry Valley Cemetery on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 2 pm with Father Brian Hart officiating.
