With 2020 poised to usher in high water levels, the County of Prince Edward has made an online geographic information systems (GIS) tool available that can be used to show areas of potential vulnerability to flooding.

The tool, which was used at the recent flood preparation open house, is for information purposes only. It will provide practical, location-specific information, with the objective being to inform those who may be at risk for high water levels.

If you live or operate a business in a vulnerable area, you are encouraged to start preparing. The municipality  has posted a list of flood prevention products and services on their flood watch website.

Currently, the municipality is working to prepare for flooding. The Emergency Control Group is meeting on a regular basis to monitor the situation and put plans in place.
