George Glendon Green passed away peacefully at Hospice Prince Edward on Wednesday, March 11th, 2020 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Myrtle Green (nee Rutter) for nearly 66 years. Son of Clinton and Reta Green, brother of Ronald (late) and Larry (Anne) of Chatham. Proud father of Darlene of Barrie, Brian (Debbie) and Gary (Karen) of Cherry Valley, and Sharon (Steve Sarley) of Bloomfield. Much loved Grandpa to Megan, Amanda, Nicholas, Kaylyn, Rachel, Dennis, Nicole, Curtis, Zack, Asa, Olivea and eight great-grandchildren. Glendon was active in his community and local politics and presided as the last Reeve of Athol Township and served as councilor for Athol Ward under the new administration. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Sincere thanks for the wonderful care from everyone at PEFHT including Drs.
