GROSSE, Marilyn Ruth

(Retired Service Canada) passed peacefully at QH-Belleville General, on Thursday, April 20th, 2023, in her 75th year. Daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice Whitten. Beloved partner of Robert (Bob) Ashton for 44 years. Dear mother of Roberta Grosse of Picton, and grandmother to Teegan Grosse. Sister of Judy (Gary) Woodbeck, of Newcastle, Ontario. Those who held a special place in her heart were nephews and nieces; Jeff (Tammy), Paul (Angie) and Joanne (Dan) and her great nephews and nieces, as well as her dear friend Maureen O’Hara. Marilyn enjoyed vacationing extensively with Bob, and always tried to include a visit to a local casino which she got a lot of enjoyment from. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to the many PSWs and nurses that provided Marilyn with such compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Friday, April 28th, 2023. Visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Belleville General Hospital or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation in Marilyn’s memory would be appreciated.
