GYDE, Frances “Fay”
January 10, 1934 – May 6, 2023
Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Fay passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital with family by her side. Fay was the loving wife of the late Howard Gyde. She will be forever missed by her children Wanda (Annabelle), Don (the late Janet), Alan (Brenda), Patricia Lockridge (the late Rick), Doug (Karen), Jennifer Miller (Maurice), Robert Rorabeck (Donna Faye) and Donna Dunlop (Dennis). Predeceased by son Wayne and daughter Kathy Rorabeck. Remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Loving sister to Ken Minaker (Brenda) and the late Phyllis Henderson and Roland Minaker. A private family graveside service will take place. A celebration of Fay’s life will be held at South Bay United Church on Thursday, May 11 from 12-2pm. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to The Maples and Hallowell House staff for their great care of our mother while she was a resident there.
