Hospice Prince Edward will be celebrating their inaugural fundraising event ‘Handbags for Hospice’ with an art theme of ‘Art meets Fashion’.
On Wednesday, November 6, more than 200 are expected to bid for exclusive handbags, trips and getaways, foodie experiences and many other gifts at silent and live auctions held at the Highline Hall.
With the help of Lauren, the event’s ‘Auctionista’, the live auction portion of the event will feature two hand painted handbags by local artists, as well as three paintings donated by our ‘Artists in Place’ who will be entertaining our guests for the evening with on-site artwork.
Handbags for Hospice will feature opportunities to win bottles of wine through its Cork Draw.
The vintages have been generously donated by some of Prince Edward County’s finest wineries. The Heads or Tails game, hosted by Lauren, will feature a Toronto getaway for the lucky winner.
“Hospice Prince Edward depends on donations from our community so that we can continue to offer our services for free,” said Linda Veenstra, Events Lead. “Services are available to individuals and their families, and with your help and support we can continue our work”.
Tickets are $50 and include a complimentary beverage, delicious hors d’oeuvres and a sweets table, plus dessert and coffee or tea. Handbags for Hospice is one evening that promises to be fun, interactive, and a chance to walk home with some fabulous prizes!
Handbags for Hospice will be held on November 6 at the Wellington & District Community centre, 111 Belleville St, Wellington. Doors open at 6.30 p.m. with the Live Auction starting at 8pm. Tickets may be purchased online at www.eventbrite.ca or at Hospice Prince Edward.
