Community Living Prince Edward is once again hosting their annual “Time for Nine, Wine and Dine” Golf Tournament.
The tournament will be held at the Wellington-on-the-Lake Golf Course on September 23rd following COVID-19 protocols from Public Health.
Now in its sixth year, “Time for Nine, Wine and Dine” presents a unique tournament format that showcases local food vendors, wineries and breweries on each hole of the course, offering golfers the opportunity to sample some of the finest craft products Prince Edward County has to offer.
Since the beginning of the tournament, the goal of this project has been to support Community Living Prince Edward in its mission of facilitating the full participation, inclusion and citizenship of people with an intellectual disability in the life of the community. CLPE provides a variety of services from birth through to adult life to support people to live their best lives. Funds raised in past tournaments were used towards the development and construction of two new housing projects in Picton.
This year, CLPE’s focus is to support people to attain their personal goals including affordable housing. As well as a portion of the proceeds will go toward United Way Hastings & Prince Edward.
“Sponsorship is so important for hosting this kind of tournament, and the response that Community Living Prince Edward has received from the community has been nothing short of spectacular. We are so grateful to our community partners for supporting this event, many of whom have been sponsoring the tournament for several years” said Susan Treverton, Executive Director.
