KERR, David Noel “Dave”
We lost our biggest story teller today; Dave Noel Kerr of Picton, left this world surrounded by his loving family, at his home. Whether he was in his den, or in his recliner, or watching the news or sports, or his other favorite place that he called his “church”, was out on the golf course with his buddies. Dave was also known for his love of his home island, Cape Breton, training bird dogs, as well as his many years and accomplishments with the Ministry of Environment, in the Investigations & Enforcement Branch. Dave was born on December 25, 1944, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, he departed this world on May 25, 2023 in Picton, Ontario.  He will be forever missed and adored by family, his loving partner and companion, Becky Williams, his children: Rick (Emma Rankin), Ryan (Whitney), and Shawn Jones, Trevor Jones (Erin) and Leah Byford (Paul Stead), his grandchildren: Rielle, Grace, William, and Talia, Tanner, Dakin, Ella, Clayton, Andrew & Ella.  Dave is survived by his brothers Dennis (Sadie) and Wayne (Anne) and by his many nieces and nephews. Mr. Kerr rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450).  In keeping with Dave’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Celebration will be held at the Picton Golf & Country Club, 734 County Road 49, Picton on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1 – 4 p.m. with a Time of Sharing at 1:30 pm.  If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by Dave’s family.
