We know from the past that our elected councillors have strapped on horse blinders and see nothing but tax revenue when it comes to resort development in our community. This must change.

There is a new proposal for another resort on East lake, 12 cabins, an Inn with 10 rooms, a resort establishment with room for 100 guests, a bar and a mobile restaurant.

We already have a rental resort with 237 single cottages on a few acres that puts major stress on a body of water that is about 1.5 km wide x 3 km long and 22 ft deep. Max.

My father built on this lake in 1973. It was one home on one acre and our councillors understood that was all this little lake could take.

Why don’t they know this now ?
