Re: A Conversation with Base31 (Gazette, September 14, 2023)

As we continue to read about the staggering growth planned for Prince Edward County and the associated challenges, it’s a shame our municipality is about to lose its only airport — by implication in the referenced article, development will involve various housing types on property which currently includes a perfectly usable and licensed airport.

As part of their growth plans, other municipalities such as Smiths Falls, Brockville or Peterborough have had the vision and seen the benefits of a small, well-run local airport for both tourism and commerce.
