After a short battle with cancer Jerry Mattis passed away on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 surrounded by his family at the Belleville General Hospital. Loving husband of 64 years to Butch Mattis. Wonderful father to many, especially Penny, Peter and Debbie.The best Poppy and Grandpa to many, especially Shelley, Kris, Dustin, AJ, Tanner and spouses. Special great grandpa to Troy, Ryan and Blayke. Special friend to Betty Bursey, Chuck and Doreen, Don Bonter and many many more. As per Jerry’s wishes cremation has taken place.A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at the Wellington Legion Br. 160 on Saturday, September 29th from 1-4 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
