The curbside pick up will be different this month!
We can’t go to the golf course because the golfers are back. Instead the pick up is at the Wellington United Church, 243 Main Street, Wellington.
The event is on Thurs., May 18 and seniors need to book and pay by Mon, May 15. Chef Bill Grieve of Wheelhouse and Occasions Catering is preparing a scrumptious meal of homemade soup, roast loin of pork, bread, potatoes, vegetables and chocolate cake for dessert. The cost is $18/meal. Call the Community Care office at 613-476-7493 to book and pay. Meals will be packaged hot and ready to be picked up at 12 noon on May 18th.

Community Care volunteers are still willing to complete 2022 income tax returns for seniors who live in Prince Edward County. The deadline has passed but you can still get your taxes done. To get your Income Tax done call 613-476-7493 for more info.
Want to meet new people and have a great time, too? Consider helping in the Thrift Shop at 153 Main St. in Picton. All it takes is three hours per week (10 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.) and no experience is necessary. A full orientation is offered. There are experienced volunteers on site. Anyone wishing to work on the cash desk or sort and price is welcome. Start the conversation about volunteering and call 613-476-7493.
We’re also looking for volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels in Athol and Milford. If you have 3 hours/week to spare this might be the right volunteer task for you to take on. Hot meals are picked up in Picton at 11:30am and delivered to seniors on a specified route. If you can help then we sure want to talk to you soon. Please call 613-476-7493 to find out more. If you’re a caregiver, think of Community Care as supporting you as you support a senior to live at home.
We have a broad range of practical services and we’re here for you. Check it out. Community Care helps seniors live at home.
