MINAKER, Kenneth Lewis
December 5, 1939 – August 17, 2023
Entered into rest at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, on Thursday August 17, 2023, Ken of South Bay, died at the age of 83. Ken was the son of the late Lewis and Jean Minaker (nee McGee) and was the loving husband of Brenda (nee Welbanks) for over 60 years. He was the loving father of Lorna Middleton (late Steve) of Corbyville, Gordon (Susan) of Shannonville, and Susanne Lyons (Steven) of South Bay, and is pre-deceased by the late Gregory. Ken was the dearest grandfather of Mary Brown, Peter Minaker, Dylan Middleton, Meghan Lyons, Sarah Miller, Emily Miller, and Matt and Daniel Shannick and their families. Ken was the great-grandfather of Carson and Henry Brown. He is predeceased by his sisters the late Phyllis Henderson and Fay Gyde and his brother the late Roland Minaker. Mr. Minaker rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). A memorial service in memory of Ken will take place at South Bay United Church (2029 County Road 13) on Thursday August 24th at 10:00am and will be officiated by Rev. Phil Hobbs.
