DESIRÉE DECOSTE

As a critical infrastructure project permitted under the Province of Ontario’s essential workplaces provision in response to COVID-19, the municipality is continuing upgrades to the elevated water tank located in Consecon.

Beginning April 27th, the Consecon water tower will be removed from service and the system will be transitioned to pressure mode operation until the week of June 15, 2020.

Work is not expected to impact water quality, but the County of Prince Edward wants users connected to the municipal drinking water system to know they may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water from time to time while work is underway. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.

Customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter if coloured water is experienced.

Please note: The County of Prince Edward provides information as a service to the general public. While they do their best to provide accurate information, construction projects and associated service disruptions are subject to change based on weather, road, traffic, and other uncontrollable conditions.
