An enduring Prince Edward County original, the 2019 Bloomfield Festival of Lights Santa Claus parade was in fine form Friday night with just the night amount of nip in the air to allow one to appreciate their warm beverage of choice just a little more.

A lengthy and diverse procession that originated on Shannon Rd., snaked along Stanley Street to where it joins Main Street and finishing at the Prince Edward Fire and Rescue station on County Rd. 32.

As usual, the Queen’s Marching band and spirit team took part in the parade, making their lone appearance outside of the Kingston Santa Claus parade and treating the attendees to a special performance.

Finally, Ben Prinzen, owner of Prinzen Ford, once again had the duties of pulling the special guest of honour, old Kris Kringle himself.
