NORTON, Clifford
Kentwood Park Nursing Home in Picton. Clifford Norton of Picton, Ontario at the age of 77. Known for being kind, creative, and quirky, Clifford (aka. “Cliff” or “Cliffy”) was a County boy, born and raised in Prince Edward County. While he spent a few years of his life out West and in other parts of Ontario, his heart remained in the County. He returned to reside there 33 years ago and started a family with his then-wife Heather. Beloved father of Megan and her fiancé, Tyler, and much-loved brother to Shirley (Cam), Della (Ed), Danny (Bev), Donny, Bruce (Pat), and Brian (Kathy). He will be missed by many special nephews and nieces, all of whom have fond memories of fun times with Uncle Cliff playing games and telling jokes. He had a child-like way about him, and even in the most recent days would still laugh at one of his classic jokes about “momma, poppa, and baby tomato”! He spoke warmly of his friends, family, and hometown – all of whom he loved very much. He was proud to have held his dream job as a Farmer and always reminded us how welcome the rain was for that years’ crops. He will be greatly missed by his friends (family) at Kentwood Park Nursing Home, who cared for him greatly on his journey over the last 8 years. A Graveside Service will be held at the Cherry Valley Cemetery on Wednesday, September 13th at 3:30 p.m. Reverend Ed Bentley officiating. Memorial Donations to the Loyalist Humane Society (www.loyalisthumanesociety.com) would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington.
