Picton’s first Fashion Week finished with two spectacular fashion parades this Saturday, the first outdoors in the glorious weekend weather.
Models from the Belleville modelling agency Mode Elle walked the runway at the Armoury plaza in a free afternoon show which pulled in many passersby.
The evening show indoors at the Armoury was sold out. Businesses up and down Main Street Picton were represented, including Crowe’s Footwear, Amour Lingerie, Josefina’s, KC Closet, Magpie, City Revival, and the PEC T-Shirt Company.
Members of the Picton Business Improvement Association, which sponsored the week-long event, produced a showcase of local businesses and creativity, including a Friday evening sidewalk sale, a kids’ fashion workshop, and a free screening of Clueless at The Regent, sponsored by City Revival — in addition to Saturday’s two runway shows.
Mode Elle took advantage of the occasion to scout for new talent. They invited future models over the age of 4 to stop by the Armoury Saturday to meet with a “new face agent.”
