Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton, Joan O’Neill of Bloomfield died at the age of 94. She was the daughter of the late George & Blanch Nightingale (nee Pettipas) and wife of the late Gerald O’Neill. Joan was the loving mother of Barry (Lynn) of Bloomfield, Dan (Julia) of Picton and the late Donna Watson. She was the grandmother of Erin, Ryan, Andrew, Patrick, Jocelyn, Meaghan and Jeremy to her many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters Doreen Robichaud and Marilyn Arsenault, both of Halifax and she is predeceased by her sister Lillian Bowers. Joan will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Mrs. O’Neill is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Home – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street West, Picton (613-476-2450). A Private Family Graveside Service and Rite of Committal with Prayers will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Picton in the Spring.
