A Belleville man has been charged in relation to boating incident earlier this month on the Bay of Quinte.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County Detachment responded to a marine complaint on Sunday June 21, 2020. Officers were notified of a vessel attempting to swamp other vessels on the Bay of Quinte near Sandy Cove. Reports stated the vessel was boating erratically.
As a result of further investigation, Timothy Garrity, 44, from Belleville, was charged with Dangerous operation contrary to section 320.13(1) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on October 7, 2020.
