A pair of Belleville residents have been charged after an assault at a Wellington home last week.
On Fri., Dec. 6, Members of the Prince Edward County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment responded to a call in Wellington just before 4 p.m.
An assault had taken place within a residence and two parties left on foot.
Officers responded quickly and requested the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit.
As a result of the investigation, Tyler Watson and Amanda Forbes, both 34 and residents of Belleville have been charged with Assault with a weapon CC 266 and Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence CC 348(1)(a)
Both parties were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Wed, Jan. 8, 2020 in Picton.

In other OPP news, officers have charged a pair of motorists with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired:
Erica Lax, 23, from Port Hope, ON has been charged with one count of Operation While Impaired – 320.14(1)(a) and Operation While Impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) – 320.14(1)(b)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Wed. Jan 8, 2020 in Picton. She was also given a 90 day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
“Prince Edward OPP is reminding drivers of the dangers of impaired driving, whether it be alcohol or cannabis. Make the right choices and don’t get behind the wheel when impaired,” Community Services Officer Constable Aaron Miller said
Donald Kleinsteuber, 35, from Prince Edward County has been charged four offences including Operation while prohibited – CC 320.18(1)(a), Driving while under suspension – HTA 53(1), Drive motor vehicle not equipped with an approved ignition interlock device- HTA 41.2(13) and Operate motor vehicle without insurance – CAIA 2(1)(a).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Wed., Jan. 8, 2020 in Picton.
