• A Belleville man is facing drug trafficking, breach of recognizance and weapons charges after a midday traffic stop in Bloomfield last week.
Adam Dunn, 28 from Belleville was charged with Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court – five counts, Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid.
Thomas Fox, 37 from Prince Edward County, was charged with failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court.
On Nov. 1 shortly before 2:00 p.m. officers responded to a report of a traffic complaint on Loyalist Parkway near Bloomfield. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, it became apparent they were breaching conditions and was subsequently arrested.
Further investigation led to the arrest of one of the vehicle passengers. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of quantities of suspected fentanyl and cocaine, a collapsible baton, cash and additional drug paraphernalia.
Both parties were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on November 2, 2023.
• A Belleville woman has been hit with drug trafficking charges stemming from a predawn RIDE program stop in Rossmore Oct. 25.
Catherine Frizzone, 45 from Belleville, was charged with Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court – five counts, Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetaminePossession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine and Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking – other drugs
Around 3:30 a.m. officers were conducting a RIDE program on Highway 62 near County Road 3 when a vehicle entered the program. Investigation revealed the driver was in breach of conditions and was arrested. A subsequent search led to the seizure of a quantity of suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, knife and drug paraphernalia.
The individual was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on October 25, 2023
