OPP Officers at the Prince Edward County detachment are investigating a report of a break, enter and theft on Fri. Aug. 9, to a horse barn where several tack items were stolen.

Shortly after 7:00 p.m. OPP received a report of a break and enter to a barn located on Victoria Road in Ameliasburgh Ward. It is believed the incident occurred sometime between Wed. Aug., 7 and Fri. Aug. 9 .

The estimated value of the theft in combined Canadian and US dollar amounts is $7,500. OPP continue to investigate this incident.
Prince Edward OPP are reminding residents to ensure that their properties, including vehicles and out buildings are secured properly while away or not in use and encourage people to “Lock it or Lose it”.
