PRINZEN, Johanna Wilhelmina
Quietly entered into the arms of her Saviour, Jesus, surrounded by the love of her family, at the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital, Picton on Sunday, January 29, 2023. Johanna Prinzen (nee Luymes) of Picton died at the age of 95. She was the daughter of the late Herman & Grada Luymes (nee Hartemink) and was the wife of the late Derk. Johanna was the mother of the late “Dottie”, Dorothy of Westlake, Bernard (Elizabeth) of Manitoulin Island, Herman (Heather, late Marianne) of Sophiasburgh, Yolanda (Michael Murray) of Rednersville, Derk Jr. (Erin) of Westlake, Grace (Paul Cairns) of Bloomfield and the late Pauline and she was delighted to be the grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 30. Johanna is predeceased by her 3 brothers, and survived by her sister-in-law Frances Luymes of Trenton and will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Mrs. Prinzen rested at Rushnell Funeral Homes – Picton Chapel, 33 Main Street (613-476-2450). Funeral Service will be held in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Corey Street, Bloomfield on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 1 pm. Spring Interment Westlake Church of Christ Cemetery.
