SPENCER, Samuel Roy Charles

Suddenly at his home in Waupoos, “Slammin’ Sammy Spencer” passed away on Monday November 27, 2017, at the age of 46. Beloved son of the late Harold and Ellamae Spencer. Much loved brother to Susan Spencer of Ottawa, Donna (Richard John) of Picton, John of Bancroft, Linda DeRushie (Andrew Holmes) of Belleville and James of Waupoos and step-brother to May, Rose, Gord, Joe and Brian Spencer. Sam was a special uncle to Dave, Jeffery, Angie, Angela, Carrie and Lawrence and will be remembered by his numerous great nieces and nephews. Sam hauled scrap metal, enjoyed working on cars and equipment and loved the demolition derby’s where he was a regular favourite and trophy winner. Sam rested at the Hicks Funeral Home, 2 Centre Street, Picton. Memorial service was held in the Chapel on Tuesday December 5 at 11 am. Interment Glenwood Cemetery. The Reverend Audrey Whitney officiated. The family received friends on Tuesday from 10 am. until service time. www.hicksfuneralhome.ca
