Betty Matthie and family would like to express our sincere appreciation for the many kindnesses shown to us during the passing of John Matthie. Thank you to our wonderful Doctor’s Blanchard and Nancekievill for their excellent care of John as well as for your many visits. Thanks also to Brad Gunn, Nurse Practitioner, for your patience, knowledge and help. You are one special guy! It was John’s wish to die in the very home that he was born 93 years ago and his medical team helped us to make that wish come true. To the Nurses, PSW’s, Medical Delivery men, you have our gratitude. Thank you also to our neighbours, friends, and families for your visits and for the many meals you delivered to our family. To Bob and Gayle, at Whattam’s, you made a difficult time a little easier for us. Thank you. To our Reverend Cathy Duggan, Bloomfield United Church, your words about John and his farming life created the perfect picture. Your visits gave him peace. Thank you also to the Fundraising Committee of the Bloomfield United Church and all the members of the Bloomfield Community for the lovely lunch to celebrate John’s life. The hall was beautifully decorated and lunch was delicious! Thank you also to the many people who attended the wake and service. John would have been pleasantly surprised at the number. We will never be able to express our gratitude for all the kindnesses shown to us. We are so lucky to have all of you in our lives.
With our deepest thanks,
Betty and the Matthie Family.
