Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the PEC Memorial Hospital, Picton on Thursday, May 9th, 2019. Douglas John Thompson of Picton at the age of 82. Loving spouse of Doris DeMille. Dear father of Larry Thompson, Kim Mulder (Raymond), Darren Thompson and Christopher DeMille (Christine). Cherished Grandpa to Kelly, Sheena (Kyle), Jeffrey (Danielle), Michael (Suzi), Gillian, Jack and to his 7 great grandchildren. Survived by his brother Robert Thompson (Linda) and his brother in-law Gary Cole and niece Dana, nephew Craig. Predeceased by his sister Linda-Lee, brother Danny-Lee and niece Susan. Doug was a proud member of the PEC Sports Hall of Fame and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 17th from 6-8 p.m. at the Ainsworth Funeral Home, 288 Noxon Avenue, Wellington.
