Paulus VanVliet was born on December 11, 1936 in Naaldwijk, South Holland, the Netherlands and passed away at his home with family at his side on April 5, 2019 in his 83rd year.Predeceased by his parents Jan and Anne VanVliet, his wife Eva and more recently, his wife Grace. Paul is survived by his two sisters, Patricia of Picton and Jean (Koen) Grootenboer of Thunder Bay. Loving father of John of Corner Brook, NFLD and Andrea (Trevor) of Milford and stepfather to Arlene, Richard, Robert, Joanne, Edward, Michael and their families. Loved and missed by his nine grandchildren: Maria, Bryce, Emily, Hilary (Darren), Miranda, Mackenzie, Elizabeth, Rachel and Paul. The family would like to extend special thanks for the exceptional care he received at PEC Memorial Hospital, Belleville General Hospital and Kingston General Hospital and to his many caring friends and neighbours who regularly showed their concern and kindness while he was ill. Mr. Vanvleit is resting at the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton, ON. Funeral service will be held at Bethany Christian Reformed Church (Bloomfield) on Thursday April 11th, 2019 at 11 a.m. Rev. Greg Lawson officiating. Entombment Glenwood Cemetery with interment in Quaker Cemetery (Bloomfield) Donations, if desired, can be made to PEC Memorial Hospital Foundation.
