Experienced in economic development as well as destination marketing, Sarah Fox, formerly a member of the VTC Board, has been appointed the Executive Director.
Ms. Fox says she has acquired a keen understanding of Visit the County’s operations and feels well prepared to lead by continuing to work closely with community partners.
“I am honoured to step into this role and build on the incredible work done by Eleanor Cook and the entire Visit The County team.”
“The County is my home, and I am committed to upholding the mission of Visit The County: to enrich the quality of life in Prince Edward County through responsible and sustainable destination management and marketing. I look forward to connecting with the many small business owners, residents, and organizations who make this place so special.”
Known most recently for her work as Manager of Community Relations at Base31, Ms. Fox has also served as Executive Director of The Picton BIA, where she worked to revitalize and promote downtown Picton as a thriving hub for residents and visitors alike.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am delighted to welcome Sarah Fox as the new Executive Director of Visit The County,” said Rebecca Mackenzie, Chair of the Board.
“Sarah’s deep connection to Prince Edward County, combined with her proven leadership in community engagement as well as economic development, made her the ideal choice.
We are confident she will help us balance tourism growth with the preservation of the County’s unique character and quality of life for residents.”
