Established in 1977, Community Care provides a variety of services designed to support seniors’ independence, well-being, and engagement within the community. Here are some key services we offer:

One of the flagship services provided by the association is the Meals on Wheels program. This service delivers hot, nutritious meals to seniors who may have difficulty preparing food themselves. Meals are delivered by volunteers, who also provide a friendly visit and check-in for those who might be socially isolated. To address this, Community Care offers a transportation service that helps seniors get to medical appointments and do essential shopping. Recognizing the important role that caregivers play, we provide resources and support for those caring for their older relatives or friends. This includes access to information, referrals to support groups, and respite services, which offer caregivers a much-needed break from their responsibilities.

For seniors facing complex challenges, Community Care offers client intervention and assistance services. This program helps seniors navigate the health and social services systems, providing support with accessing benefits, filling out forms, and connecting with other community resources.
