Born at Toronto General Hospital May 26, 1984, Lauren Marie Wiens-Stasiuk passed away May 13th on a beautiful morning with cherry blossom petals floating in the breeze, and family by her side. The loss of such a bright light is impossible to explain. Her courage and tenacity through the last 8 years is beyond measure. World traveller, athlete, nurse, mother, daughter, sister and wife. Lighting up the occasion just by being there, the loss for us is immeasurable. Born in Toronto Ontario, growing up in Picton, she leaves us heartbroken by her early departure. Daughter of Robert Wiens and Cheryl O’Brien of Picton, beloved wife of Daniel Stasiuk, loving mother of their daughter Tessa of Toronto. Sister to Terra Wiens (Bryan Pitton and daughter Leona)of Picton and Toronto,Ella Bluhm (Brandon Bluhm and daughters Bianca and Mia) of Baileboro. Daughter in law to Ron and Rita Stasiuk of Melbourne Australia and sister in law to Katrina and Will Barraclough, David and Anna Stasiuk, Mike and Elle Stasiuk and their families. Grandparents Edith and John Wiens of Leamington, Ont., as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. “In the end it’s not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years” -Unknown.
