Details

From coloured paper to paint, this class will get your rainbow in action! We´ll explore the works of Henri Mattisse, renowned for his bold use of color and innovative cut-outs. We will also look at David Blackwood´s underwater whale prints to inspire our underwater piece, and the works of the Abstract Expressionists for our colour smudge canvas.

Kids will contribute to collaborative work and make their own inspired creations with step by step instruction and space for their own creative expression. Kids will develop colour mixing skills with paint and observational skills as they explore the subjects with their own creative spirit, with a great art show at the end to share their works with family and friends.

5 Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:45 AM for ages 5-8: November 15th, 22nd, 29th, December 6th & 13th, 2025.

Location – The County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, Picton Armoury Building

Sliding scale pricing.
